{"id":75,"date":"2008-08-21T15:36:24","date_gmt":"2008-08-21T21:36:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bob-ak.com\/?p=75"},"modified":"2008-08-21T17:44:56","modified_gmt":"2008-08-21T23:44:56","slug":"how-to-spread-the-word-on-the-internet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bob-ak.com\/?p=75","title":{"rendered":"How to spread the word on the Internet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was trying to find information about a book called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/1847992994\/ref=ord_cart_shr\" target=\"_blank\">The Age of Conversation<\/a> when I came across <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ageofconversation.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">the main site promoting the book<\/a> and read a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ageofconversation.com\/2008\/03\/the-rush-is-on.html\" target=\"_blank\">post<\/a> on how thet intended to promote the book on a particular day and wanted to get their readers to help this happen.<\/p>\n<p>This is the gist of what they planned to do:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Buy the book &#8211; pretty obvious as to why!<\/li>\n<li>Blog about it &#8211; yes!<\/li>\n<li>Twitter Commentary &#8211; if a certain keyword is used when twittering, the site <a onclick=\"javascript:urchinTracker ('\/outbound\/article\/www.Twemes.com');\" href=\"http:\/\/www.twemes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Twemes.com<\/a> will pick it up and you cab track its popularity<\/li>\n<li>Trackback or Comment on a particular post written by them &#8211; &#8220;everyone can follow the conversation and help promote exposure on social sites (Digg, StumbleUpon, Del.icio.us, etc).&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stumbleupon.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Stumble<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/digg.com\" target=\"_blank\">Digg<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/reddit.com\" target=\"_blank\">Reddit <\/a>the posts &amp; tell\/email all your on-line friends to do the same<\/li>\n<li>Post to the main other social networking sites like Del.icio.us (bookmarking), Facebook, Technorati and Ma.gnolia (search engine for searching blogs), Furl, BlinkList, Newsvine, etc.<\/li>\n<li>And finally keep talking: &#8220;Get on ooVoo, iChat, Aim, or where ever you like to talk, and start talking&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was trying to find information about a book called The Age of Conversation when I came across the main site promoting the book and read a post on how thet intended to promote the book on a particular day and wanted to get their readers to help this happen.
